Payroll Transparency
During the annual EBRD audit, complaints were raised by frontline employees regarding the lack of transparency in the piece-rate compensation system. The absence of documented evidence confirming the distribution of payslips created a potential risk of hidden deductions and resulted in a Non-Compliance notice, putting continued financing at risk.
We conducted a comprehensive audit of HR records and payroll processes. A strict payslip distribution procedure was implemented across the production sites, ensuring documented confirmation that employees received clear information about their remuneration. In addition, an anonymous employee survey was conducted to verify their understanding of earnings, deductions, and overall pay structure.
As a result, a comprehensive Audit Trail was established, providing clear evidence of payroll transparency and proper employee communication. The EBRD Non-Compliance notice was fully lifted, the risk associated with hidden or unjustified deductions was eliminated, and financing continued without interruption.
